APC by Schneider Electric (formerly American Power Conversion Corporation) is a manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) together with their batteries and replacement components, surge protectors, power distribution units (PDUs), and data center products. It was founded in 1981 in West Kingston, Rhode Island, USA by three MIT Lincoln Lab electronic power engineers but in 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined it with MGE UPS Systems to form Schneider Electric's Critical Power & Cooling Services Business Unit.
